A charging station/ charging box enables mode 3 charging, as there are both requirements for safety in the car and the installation. Mode 3 requires that communication takes place between the wall box and the electric car. The charging stations are supplied either with a fixed charging cable with a type 1 or type 2 plug, or with a type 2 connector and are a universal solution. All new current courses to be used to charge electric vehicles must have an earth fault protection/ earth fault circuit breaker type B or equivalent protection (RDC-DD 6mA).
