Posted by KAROLINE OLSEN

In a comprehensive test of EV chargers in Sweden, Charge Amps Luna was recently named "Best in Test." The test evaluated several of the most popular chargers on the market, including:
- Zaptec Go
- Easee Charge Up and Easee Charge Max
- DEFA Power
- Wallbox Pulsar Max
- Charge Amps Halo
- CTEK Njord G0 (portable charger)
- Go-e Charger Gemini Flex 2.0 (portable charger)
- Blaupunkt P3PM2T2 (portable charger)
- DEFA eMove (portable charger)
Among all candidates, it was Luna that stood out and secured the victory. The result confirms that Luna is a charging box that combines user-friendliness, safety, and quality in a way that few others can match.
Charge Amps Luna is a future-proof charging box with an elegant design and up to 22 kW charging power. It has a built-in MID meter and type B residual current device, as well as support for both WiFi and 4G. It is compatible with smart charging and developed for the Nordic climate and safety requirements.
In a few years, a new standard for EV charging will change how we charge our cars at home. The ISO 15118 standard makes charging easier, safer – and smarter. With the Charge Amps Luna EV charger, you are already ready.
– With Luna, we have built in ISO 15118-compatible hardware. This means that when the functionality is rolled out on the vehicle side and in the power grid, Luna will be ready from day one, says Tom Eilertsen, business developer at Charge Amps.
Charge Amps Luna is the first home charger on the market with support for the new standard. Consumers will notice this in the form of:
Plug & Charge
You plug in the car – the charger and the car automatically recognize each other. You don't need an app, card, or subscription.
Automatic authentication and secure payment
When the charger and the car recognize each other, identification and payment occur in one single step. Safe, simple, and seamless.
State of Charge (SoC)
The charger receives real-time data on how much power the car needs and automatically adjusts charging.
– This makes it possible to charge smarter and cheaper – and with better balance in the power grid.
Vehicle to Home / Vehicle to Grid
ISO 15118 allows the car to be used as a battery bank in the future.
– This means you can supply power back to the house when electricity is expensive, and charge again when it's cheap. This is still a few years away in Norway, but with Luna, you are prepared.
