Norway Price – can housing cooperatives / housing associations / co-owners order this?
Posted by KAROLINE OLSEN

Yes, it is possible. In a housing association, the board can order Norgespris for electricity consumption registered at the housing association's metering point (typically common areas). Residents in housing associations who have their own metering points can order Norgespris for their own apartments/housing units.
Housing associations include housing cooperatives, housing limited companies, owner-occupied sectional title associations, and non-sectionalized co-ownerships.
Housing associations are entitled to order Norgespris for common consumption within the housing association. Common consumption can, for example, be electricity for hot water, laundry rooms, heating of common areas, garage facilities, elevators, and residents' EV charging. The chairman of the board can order Norgespris on behalf of the housing cooperative.

Energy Measurement Requirements for Charging Stations in Norway
Posted by KAROLINE OLSEN

In Norway, requirements have been set for the energy meter in such installations, not for the charging station as a complete metering system. Detailed requirements for energy metering can be found in the Regulation on requirements for electricity meters (the electricity meter regulation). There is a requirement for such meters to have MID conformity assessment if they are sold after 01.01.2025. Electricity meters used for measuring power supply to electric vehicles in commercial contexts, but sold before 01.01.2025, can be used without a conformity assessment.
The electricity meter regulation sets accuracy requirements for energy metering, regardless of whether a conformity assessment is present or not. This means that all measurement of power supply to electric vehicles in Norway must meet specific accuracy requirements set out in the regulation.
Justervesenet (the Norwegian Metrology Service) assesses that if deviations between the total amount of energy supplied by the grid company and the actual energy used by residents in housing cooperatives or condominiums are distributed over common expenses, there will be no requirement for conformity-assessed sub-meters. However, if it involves direct billing per consumer, it may be considered a commercial solution, and requirements for conformity-assessed meters will apply.
Grants for Charging Infrastructure in Housing Cooperatives, Garage Associations, and Housing Associations - Akershus County Council
Posted by KAROLINE OLSEN

Akershus County Municipality has announced a grant scheme of NOK 5 million to promote charging infrastructure for electric cars in housing cooperatives, condominiums, and garage associations. There is no application deadline, and applications are processed continuously until the funds are distributed. The grant covers up to 20% of the costs for electrical infrastructure and smart power management (maximum NOK 10,000 per charging point) and up to 50% of the costs for consulting/project planning, with an upper limit of NOK 500,000 per project. Charging facilities must have smart power management, and only permanent installations owned by the applicant qualify. Private individuals, state/municipal actors, and projects already started cannot apply. Work must be carried out by an authorized installer, and the application must be submitted before ordering materials or services. Total public funding cannot exceed 50%. Applications are submitted with price quotes, and case processing typically takes up to two weeks.

What is the difference between the different Easee models?
Posted by KAROLINE OLSEN

Easee has launched several models of charging stations, and there are often questions about the differences between them. Home chargers: These are designed for private homes and include: Easee Home, Easee Charge Lite, Easee Charge UP and Easee MAX.
All of these can be installed in a maximum of three units per system, with a maximum current of 40A. They can be combined in the same system, but not with any of the models for larger charging systems.
Charging stations for larger charging facilities: These are intended for businesses, condominiums and housing associations, and include: Easee Charge, Easee Core and Easee Pro.
These models allow an unlimited number of devices per installation, with a maximum current of 63A per circuit. They can be combined on the same installation, but not with any of the "home chargers".
In short, home chargers can be combined with each other, while models for larger facilities only work together.
NEW! Easee Charge UP!

We are pleased to announce a new product in our range. Charge Up will replace our current home charger, Charge Lite, in the Nordics.
Given the extensive and thorough work on compliance, we are pleased to relaunch our 22 kW home charger, which no longer requires an external RCD (type A residual current device) upon installation. As you may know, the integrated RCD in our chargers fully complies with European standards.
NKOM: No serious deviations at charging stations
Posted by KAROLINE OLSEN

The chargers were chosen due to their popularity in the Norwegian market, and the inspection covered electrical safety, including ground fault protection, clearance and creepage distances. Products that can be remotely controlled via app are covered by Nkom's area of responsibility, while electrical safety during installation falls under DSB's responsibility.
