Homey - A smarter home

Homey Pro mini unifies your smart home and connects products from different brands and technologies, allowing them to work together. Connect your smart devices and manage, control, and automate them all from the Homey app. Homey Pro mini is suitable for anyone who wants a stable and private smart home. It can control lighting, heating, security, and entertainment, and integrates with thousands of products from well-known brands. Perfect for both beginners and advanced users who want control without being dependent on the internet.

Homey Pro mini has a built-in Ethernet connection and functions as a Thread Border Router. It supports Matter, Zigbee, and Thread as standard, and can be expanded with Homey Bridge for more protocols. The device has 1 GB RAM, optimized for 20–25 apps, and comes with a gigabit Cat5e cable. No built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but can be activated via the Bridge. Local and cloud-based backups are available. Cloud-based backup requires a subscription and costs: 100 NOK per year (billed annually).

Homey Pro mini is compatible with over 50,000 devices from over 1000 different brands, and thanks to Homey's open platform, new devices are continuously being added. Homey Pro mini works with products from Sonos, Philips Hue, IKEA, Yale, Tado, Shelly, Nuki, Netatmo, TP-Link, Danalock and many more. Homey Pro mini provides full control over your smart home with Homey Flow, Advanced Flow, Energy Monitoring, Dashboards and Insights. It operates locally for maximum privacy and minimal delay, but also offers remote control and integration with voice assistants via the cloud – entirely without a subscription. With local API access and LAN integrations like Google Chromecast, you get flexibility and security in one.

Modern protocols in a compact format

Homey Pro mini has built-in support for Matter, Thread and Zigbee, and connects to the network via Ethernet for stable and predictable operation. If needed, the functionality can be expanded with Homey Bridge (sold separately) for support of additional protocols.

Your home should be your safe and private space. With regular security updates, Homey helps ensure that you can use your smart home securely. Communication between your mobile devices and Homey is encrypted, so only you have access to your data. 

The Homey App

Use the Homey app (iOS/Android) to control and automate all your devices – regardless of brand. You can also use the Homey Web App for real-time control, device management, and to create powerful automations with Homey Flow and Advanced Flow.

Save energy and money with Homey

With the help of automation and energy tools, Homey Pro mini can help you reduce electricity consumption in everyday life. With Homey Flow, you can automate devices based on presence, time, and electricity price, and use Homey Insights to get a better overview of energy usage in your home.

Installation

The unit requires an Ethernet connection and can be wall-mounted using two screw holes on the underside. A drilling template is included in the Quick Start Guide. Connect power and network, and configure via the Homey app.

Disclaimer

Homey Pro mini does not have built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. For these functions, as well as Z-Wave, 433MHz, and IR, a Homey Bridge must be purchased separately. The number of apps is limited by memory capacity (1 GB RAM). The compatibility list can be found in the Homey App Store.
