The ultimate and universal charging box for home charging
The Easee Charge MAX charging box charging station is small, light and a smart charging station, but powerful enough to charge your car quickly as it supports up to 22 kW. The charging box is intelligent and adapts to all electric cars, supports all currents (6-32A) and all power grids (IT, 230V/1+3-phase, TT and TN 400V).

Easee Charge MAX supports the following amperages and charging powers (kW):

Easee Charge MAX has the ability to switch between 1- and 3-phase charging via the APP (software). This is convenient if the car to be charged does not support 3-phase charging on the IT network. The charging box is equipped with one type 2 plug/socket so that all types of rechargeable vehicles can charge from the charging station with the correct charging cable.

MID certified electricity meter

What distinguishes Charge MAX from Charge UP is that the former measures the current accurately (±1%) according to the EN 50470-3 standard. In many countries, there is a requirement for the “Measuring Instruments Directive”, MID certification, when invoicing the electricity consumption. This is not a requirement in Norway, Sweden or Denmark yet. Furthermore, the charging box has an LED display that shows the total electricity consumption that has been used via the charging box.

Intelligent security Easee is passionate about safety and has therefore built it with a number of temperature sensors on both incoming terminals, outgoing connectors and in the PCB board itself that warn of overheating.
	Automatic self-test The charging box has an integrated residual current device (RCD) that performs self-tests between each charging session, and at least once during each 24-hour period. The charging station has more than 40 sensors that continuously monitor changes in current, voltage, temperature, humidity - all to ensure you can charge safely. The built-in protection is also automatically reset every time the charging cable is disconnected from the charging station. This reduces downtime and the need for support and maintenance. The charging station restarts automatically in the event of a power outage.
Automatic detection of incorrect wiring The charging box always and automatically checks the wiring after installation and notifies the electrician if a mistake has been made. Information and help are also provided via the Easee Installer App. This allows you to be confident that the charging box is installed correctly and is safe to use.
	Critical error notification If, against all odds, a critical error occurs, the charging box will go into safety mode and inform you with a red light, a notification in the Easee app and an alarm signal if necessary.
No power cables inside The Easee charging box has no messy cables inside compared to traditional charging boxes. This reduces the risk of human error during assembly and production.
	Always updated charging box The charging station automatically connects to the cloud solution and is continuously updated with the latest functionality via over-the-air (OTA) software updates. This means you have purchased a secure and future-proof product. 4G/LTE is included in the purchase price.
Angled and self-draining contact The connector is angled at 45 degrees so that the charging cable protrudes less from the wall. This reduces the risk of external damage, as well as the connector draining itself.

Reliable local control with Bluetooth®

With new Bluetooth functionality, you can control and monitor your charger locally, without relying on cloud services or an internet connection. Cloud services will be available via subscription.

Future-proof — easy installation and scalable

Easee Charge MAX's charging system allows you to have multiple charging boxes as the communication between the charging boxes is wireless. Installing multiple charging boxes in an existing installation is done by connecting them in series via the first charging box. This saves installation costs and makes it look nicer.

Configuration

With the Easee Installer App, you can quickly configure the charging box by programming the backplate via the NFC chip or via Bluetooth.

Dynamic load balancing and phase balancing

Easee Charge MAX makes the most of the available electrical capacity with dynamic load balancing across all charging stations to ensure you always get maximum charging. Load balancing supports up to 3 per “plant” and will work offline. Load and phase balancing optimizes the available power for charging and:

• Monitors the charging system's available charging current (requires Easee Equalizer)
• Ensures that available charging power is distributed and used equally
• Does not overload courses or set limits
• Balances the power and phases of the charging stations

Load and phase balancing is done using proprietary wireless technology that does not require additional infrastructure (cabling), cloud connectivity or internet.

The first charging station configured becomes the main unit (master/primary) in the system. The other units (secondary) communicate with the main unit, so that available capacity can be automatically distributed between all connected units.

The charging boxes have a soft start of charging which ensures that the power circuit is not overloaded at the start of charging and thus you also avoid fuses blowing out due to high and short current pulses.

Smart charging

New Advanced Measurement and Control Systems (AMS), also called AMS electricity meters, mean that in the future we will have to pay for electricity billed per hour. Easee Charge MAX is smart and gives you the opportunity to charge your car(s) when the electricity is cheapest, while always having a fully charged car for departure. Likewise, you can easily override the smart charging and start charging immediately if you need to use the car in a couple of hours. You can easily switch between smart and fast charging in the app or by touching the touch sensor on the charging box.

Solar charging

Pairing your Easee charging box with an Easee Equalizer allows you to charge your car with clean and renewable energy. Either without power from the grid or a combination of both, while balancing energy supply and demand in the power grid.

The charging box is very small and lightweight and thrives just as well outside the building as inside a garage. Developed to withstand the Norwegian climate with its changing weather conditions and is IP54 certified.

User access

You can enable access control on Easee Charge MAX so that it must be activated via NFC/RFID or the Easee app. This will prevent unauthorized people from charging at your charging station(s).

Measuring power consumption

A built-in power meter in each charging station gives you control and overview of your power consumption via app or the Easee cloud service. You can easily create consumption reports for each user or charging station. This means you can easily have multiple users on one charging station and still distribute electricity costs fairly.

Application

The charging station comes with an app that makes it easy to monitor consumption, lock and unlock the charging cable, and schedule charging. More features will be added over time so that you always have full control over your Easee charging station. The app can be found on the App Store or Google Play.

The freedom to choose color

The charging station comes in black, but it is possible to purchase other covers so you can match your car or house.
