Woertz's tapping module / branching module is mounted directly onto the flat cable. Suitable for both Woertz and WAGO flat cable systems. 

The junction box is 5-pole for 5G25 mm² or 5G16 mm² flat cable, with mounting bracket, for 2 threaded outlets/inlets M25x1.5. The box comes in black and has an IP rating of 65. LxWxH: 200x85x73mm. Gland M25 (Elnr 1583565) and blanking plug M25 (Elnr 1583571) are accessories and must be ordered separately.

Flat cable for installing infrastructure for EV charging offers several advantages in parking garages, car parks, and for businesses that want a flexible system where charging points can be expanded or removed as needed.

Flat cable installation is compatible with all manufacturers of charging stations, and with the infrastructure already in place using flat cable installation, new charging points can be installed in 15 minutes subsequently.

Then, the Woertz connection box / supply module is mounted over the flat cable where the supply is to be connected. After that, the tapping module is connected where an outlet for EV charging is desired. These are available with double outlets.

The flat cable system is based on piercing technology, which allows branching without having to cut the cable or use special tools. Contact between conductors is made instead by the box enclosing the cable, and the technology ensures that the pointed screw penetrates the insulation of the cable and creates contact. This guarantees low resistance values.

Installation
See the load table which refers to installation types A2, B2, C, D2, and E. It is flexible and easier to handle and install. The cable is double-insulated and can be installed in walls, laid outdoors in cable trenches, e.g., when connecting to outdoor cabinets according to NEK 399.
