* Maximum power depends on the car supporting the power grid + the power

It will automatically detect whether the car supports 1- or 3-phase charging. The charging box is equipped with one Type 2 connector/outlet so that all types of chargeable vehicles can charge from the charging station with the correct charging cable.

The charging box has been developed by technology experts from Norway, Sweden and Hong Kong, and meets all safety requirements related to product and installation standards. Tested internally and by third-party accredited technical monitoring organizations.

MID-certified and OLED display

NexBlue Delta MAX displays real-time data on the OLED screen and accumulated consumption. The electricity meter is MID-certified and thus compatible for reimbursement.

NexBlue Edge MAX

Safe and secure charging

With 40 sensors, NexBlue Edge 2 continuously monitors changes in current, voltage, and temperature, ensuring your protection and safety before, during, and after vehicle charging. Automatic self-test of the earth fault sensor (RCD-DD) every 24 hours and before each charging session.

Automatic power grid detection

The charging station supports all power grids, so you always get the most out of your charging. It detects which power grid it is connected to, so you don't have to worry about it.

Local OCPP

NexBlue has OCPP 1.6 J + 2.0.1 support locally in the charging station, thus providing integration possibilities with all operators. This means that all operators can control your charging box via the OCPP protocol.

Certified by TÜV and SGS

Certified by TÜV and SGS

NexBlue complies with all necessary safety standards for both the product and its installation, ensuring a high degree of safety compliance. The charging station has therefore received an EU type approval certificate from SGS.

NexBlue has built-in RDC-DD (6 mA DC), and has received the test certificate from the German TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein). This indicates that the technology used is safe and complies with all specified regulatory standards (IEC 62955:2018).

Always online

Each charging station has a built-in eSIM with 4G LTE Cat 1 connection to the mobile network so you can control your charging box from anywhere. This subscription is free and included in the purchase price.

Always updated charging box

The charging station automatically connects to the cloud solution and is continuously updated with the latest functionality via over-the-air (OTA) software updates. This means you have purchased a secure and future-proof product.

EcoPilot - Smart charging integrated into the APP

With EcoPilot mode, you charge intelligently according to Nordpool's spot prices. Choose when your car should be fully charged, and the software will charge the car during the cheapest hours.

Reliable local control with Bluetooth®

With new Bluetooth functionality, you can control and monitor your charger locally, without relying on cloud services or an internet connection. Or if the charging box does not have either 4G/LTE or WiFi coverage.

Future-proof — easy installation and scalable

NexBlue Delta MAX's charging system allows you to have multiple charging boxes as communication between the charging boxes is wireless. Installing multiple charging boxes in an existing installation does not require an additional earth leakage circuit breaker, and they can be daisy-chained. You can also parallel-connect them and connect an unlimited number in a charging system.

Configuration

With the NexBlue Partner APP, configuring the charging box is quick. This can be done either by scanning the QR code or via Bluetooth.

Dynamic load balancing and phase balancing

NexBlue Delta MAX utilizes the available electrical capacity to the full with dynamic load balancing across all charging stations, ensuring you always get maximum charging. Load balancing supports an unlimited number per "facility" and will work offline. Load and phase balancing optimizes available power for charging and:

  • Monitors the charging system's available charging current (requires NexBlue ZEN)
  • Ensures that available charging current is distributed and used equally
  • Does not overload circuits or set limit values
  • Balances the power and phases of the charging stations

Load and phase balancing occurs using wireless technology that normally does not require extra infrastructure (cabling), cloud connection or internet. This is done via Nexus radio frequency, alternatively WiFi or LAN.

The first charging station configured becomes the main unit (master/primary) in the system. The other units (secondary) communicate with the main unit, so that available capacity can be automatically distributed among all connected units.

The charging boxes have a soft start to charging, which ensures that the power circuit is not overloaded when charging begins, thus avoiding tripped fuses due to high and short current pulses.

Dynamic load balancing

New Advanced Metering and Control Systems (AMS), also known as AMS electricity meters, mean that in the future we will have to pay for electricity billed by the hour. NexBlue Delta MAX is smart and gives you the opportunity to charge your car(s) when electricity is cheapest, and at the same time adapt to consumption in the home via NexBlue ZEN. Likewise, you can easily override smart charging and start charging immediately if you need to use the car in a couple of hours. You easily switch between smart and fast charging in the app.

User access

You can activate access control on NexBlue Delta MAX so that it must be activated via NFC/RFID, or you can lock the charging box via the app. This prevents unauthorized persons from charging at your charging station(s).

NexBlue Edge - Dimensions

Measuring power consumption

A built-in power meter in each charging station gives you control and an overview of power consumption via the app or cloud service. You can easily create consumption reports for each user or charging station. This means you can easily have multiple users on one charging station and still distribute electricity costs fairly.

myNexBlue - Application

The charging station comes with an app that makes it easy to:

  • Monitor and control charging
  • Local control via Bluetooth
  • Plan charging according to electricity prices (time-set charging)
  • Power consumption - charging statistics and history
  • Share access to the charging station with family and friends
  • Access control (how to activate the charging box for charging)
  • Lock and unlock the charging cable to the charging box

More functions will be added over time so you always have full control over your NexBlue charging station. The app can be found on App Store or Google Play.

Q&A

Installation

Is it safe to have the cable entry at the top of the charging robot, and can it be left outdoors?
Yes, the product is designed for cable entry from the top, as it accounts for the possibility of water ingress if the seals do not fully seal against the cable.

Will other upstream protection devices affect the functionality of the charging station?
No, it is recommended that an external Type A residual current device (RCD) be installed on the charging circuit in accordance with applicable regulations. The RCD in the charger will not be affected by or affect the function of other external protection devices.
There are no technical problems with an upstream Type B RCD. The only thing that theoretically can happen is that the Type B RCD in the cabinet might trip before the RCD in the charger.
The built-in RCD in the charger is electronic and will cut off power to the EV if it measures a DC leakage current of 4-6mA and/or an AC leakage current of 20-30mA.
This should therefore provide a certain selectivity in the system, so that a potential external Type A RCD normally does not trip in the event of an earth fault (AC and/or DC). The electronic RCD in the charger is easily reset by plugging the charging cable out of and back into the EV's charging connector.

Access control, availability and security

Can I lock my charging robot so it is inaccessible to others?
Yes, via the app.

Can I permanently lock the Type 2 cable in my charging robot?
Yes, this is done via the app (Bluetooth / WiFi / 4G) or the cloud solution.

I can't remove my charging cable. What can I do?
Push/press the plug in, then lock and unlock via the app again.

Load balancing

Can the charging robot dynamically load balance with my house to prevent my main fuse from tripping?
Yes, but this requires external hardware connected to your electricity meter (NexBlue ZEN).
