CHiNT earth fault circuit breaker/ earth fault protection meets the requirements of NEK 400:2014 §722.531.2. Interpretation indicates that current controlled earth fault protection type B must be used on new current courses that will be used for charging electric cars or plug-in hybrids. This earth fault circuit breaker works excellently as protection in new installations. CHiNT earth-fault circuit breakers type B have been specially developed to provide correct tripping in the case of pulsating or smooth direct current (DC).
B-type earth-fault circuit breaker is required on all new current courses intended for charging electric vehicles installed after 1.1.2015. These can either be integrated into the charging station or mounted in the fuse box.
CHiNT NL210 earth-fault circuit breaker fits all mains and current courses up to 63A. This applies for both 1-phase and 3-phase 230V (IT/TT), as well as 3-phase 400V (TN). Note that this is a 2-pole RCD type B (3-module) which supports only 1-phase and takes up less space.
According to regulations on electrical equipment §13, we are obliged to inform our customers that all electrical equipment intended to be part of a fixed electrical installation can only be installed by an authorized and registered installation company installasjonsvirksomhet.

Questions and Answers
How should the earth-fault circuit breaker be mounted?
The following poles must be used:
1) 230V / 1-phase/ 3-phase: N + 1 (top side) and N + 2 (bottom side) - the order has no meaning
2) 400V / 3-phase: It is important that N is connected completely left and phase conductor to the right.
