The Easee Home charging box charging station is small, light and a smart charging station, but still powerful as it supports up to 22 kW. The charging box is intelligent and adapts to all electric cars, supports all current strengths (6-32A) and all power grids (IT, 230V/1+3-phase, TT and TN 400V). It will automatically detect whether the car supports 1- or 3-phase charging. The charging box is equipped with one type 2 socket/outlet so that all types of rechargeable vehicles can charge from the charging station with the correct charging cable. You don't have to worry about technical specifications. Fully loaded with groundbreaking technology and future-oriented solutions, the charging box ensures optimal utilization of available power capacity, lower costs and safe charging. Developed and manufactured in Norway with the simplest and most affordable installation possible in mind, and makes the system very easy to design, assemble and manage.

Future-proof — easy installation and scalable
Easee Home's charging system shares a single power circuit and supports parallel connection of charging stations. This unique infrastructure makes it possible to start the installation with one charging box and then expand to more charging stations as the need increases. Installing multiple charging boxes in an existing installation requires significantly less work as they are connected in series. The installer simply connects directly to the charging station that is already installed and on.

Dynamic load balancing and phase balancing
Easee Home makes the most of the available electrical capacity with dynamic load balancing across all charging stations so you always get maximum charging. Load balancing supports up to 3 units per course without the need for additional infrastructure and will work offline. Load and phase balancing optimizes the available power for charging and:
- Monitors the charging system's available charging current
- Ensures that available charging power is distributed and used equally
- Does not overload courses or set limits
- Balances the power and phases of the charging stations
Load and phase balancing is done using proprietary wireless technology that does not require additional infrastructure (cabling), cloud connectivity or internet.
The first charging station configured becomes the master unit in the system. The other units (slaves) communicate with the master unit, so that available capacity can be automatically distributed between all connected units.
The charging boxes have a soft start of charging which ensures that the power circuit is not overloaded at the start of charging and thus you also avoid fuses blowing out due to high and short current pulses.
Internet access — 4G / LTE
All Easee charging stations are connected to the internet via a built-in e-SIM on 4G/LTE as long as there is coverage. If you buy now, you get the 4G subscription included for the lifetime of the charging station at no extra cost. This means you don't have to worry about WiFi coverage.
Communication between the charging stations is wireless and they work perfectly even without internet access. This makes Easee perfect for charging 2-3 cars at home, at the cottage or for small businesses.
Safe investment — 5-year warranty
Easee Home has a 5-year warranty from the day it is installed. This means that you as a customer can be confident that the product is of good quality and will last for many years.

Smart charging
New Advanced Measurement and Control Systems (AMS), also called AMS electricity meters, mean that in the future we will have to pay for electricity billed per hour. Easee Home is smart and gives you the opportunity to charge your car(s) when the electricity is cheapest, while always having a fully charged car for departure. Likewise, you can easily override smart charging and start charging immediately if you need to use the car in a couple of hours. You can easily switch between smart and fast charging in the app or by touching the touch sensor on the charging box.

Security
Easee Home should be simple for the end user and electrician and thus has built-in electronic earth-fault protection (AC 30mA and DC-RCM 6mA) that ensures detection of DC faults and earth faults. This means that you do not need earth-fault protection type B in the fuse box, but only a regular earth-fault circuit interrupter type A. The built-in protection is automatically reset every time the charging cable is disconnected from the charging station. This reduces downtime and the need for support and maintenance. At the same time, the charging station detects overvoltage and has integrated fuses (3x32A type C). A temperature sensor and electronic monitoring of the current flow in the charging station ensure safe charging, and will lower the charging current if it detects heat (>50°C). It will also automatically notify and interrupt charging if something goes wrong. The charging station restarts automatically in the event of a power outage.
Small and light
The charging box is very small and lightweight and thrives just as well outside the building as inside a garage. Developed to withstand the Norwegian climate with its changing weather conditions and is IP54 certified.

User access
You can enable access control on Easee Home so that it must be activated through NFC/RFID or the Easee app. This will prevent unauthorized people from charging at your charging station(s).
Measuring power consumption
A built-in power meter in each charging station gives you control and overview of your power consumption via app or the Easee cloud service. You can easily create consumption reports for each user or charging station. This means you can easily have multiple users on one charging station and still distribute electricity costs fairly.
Digital tools — local WiFi web interface
Easee Home is easily configured via a local wireless network and using the browser on a smartphone, tablet or PC. This interface also provides the ability to manage access control with RFID locally. This will work even if there is no network coverage (4G/LTE) or WiFi (internet).
The local wireless network (WiFi) is activated by holding down the touch button for 5 seconds, and you can then connect to it via your smartphone/tablet/PC.

Application
The charging station comes with an app that makes it easy to monitor consumption, lock and unlock the charging cable, and schedule charging. More features will be added over time so that you always have full control over your Easee charging station.

Future-oriented
Easee Home is smart and ready for future challenges as new software updates are included and are done over the internet (WiFi/4G). The hardware is developed and manufactured in Norway, so you can be confident in the quality and that your Easee Home charging station will last for many years to come.
The freedom to choose color
The charging station comes in five different colors, giving you the freedom to choose whether the charging box should match your car or house.

Unique installation
The patented 3-part installation with the unique back plate, charge-berry (the charging unit itself) and front cover, makes installation very easy and fast. Connecting one or more charging stations is a breeze. The electrician first attaches the back plate to the wall and connects the power conductors, and then the chargeberry / charging unit is "clicked" into place in the back plate. This saves the electrician time and frustration - and you money. This unique installation allows you to install the charging unit yourself and replace it afterwards if, against all odds, it becomes defective. This minimizes downtime so that you can continue charging as normal again.

According to the Electrical Equipment Regulations, Section 21, we are obliged to inform our customers that all electrical equipment intended to be part of a fixed electrical installation can only be installed by an authorized and registered installation company .

Questions and answers
The WiFi interface
How do I access the WiFi interface?
1) Connect your phone to the charging robot's shared wifi network. If the phone cannot find any shared wifi networks, press and hold the touch button for 5 seconds. You must power cycle the charging robot to access the installation menu if the wifi network for installation is not available.
2) Type 192.168.4.1 in the browser.
3) Log in using the PIN code on the front of the charging robot/electronics.
If you can't get in, try using another phone. On some phones, WiFi+ must also be turned off.
Why do I only get the user menu with two options when I connect to the WiFi interface?
To access the installation menu, the charging robot must be powered off and on again. The WiFi interface will then display the installation menu, which is only active for a short time.
NOTE: There may be differences between the WiFi interface and what you see in the user and installation guide, as new functionality will be implemented continuously.
How do I connect the charging robot to my local WiFi network?
If you have older software, you must connect it to where there is 4G first and then update the software.
Installation
Is it safe to have the cable entry at the top of the charging robot and can it be left outside?
Yes, the product is designed for cable entry from the top, as it has been taken into account that water may enter if the seals do not completely seal against the cable.
Is it allowed to have multiple charging stations on the same course?
Yes, as long as load management is included in the charging equipment (such as in the charging robot from Easee), it is permitted to connect multiple chargers to the same protection. This is explained in more detail in NEK400 (NEK400:2018) in section 722.302 and in section 722.533.101.
Will other upstream protection affect the charging station's functionality?
No, it is recommended that an external earth fault protection type A is installed on the charging circuit in accordance with current regulations. The protection in the charger will not be affected by or affect the function of other external protections.
There is no technical problem with a connected earth-fault protection type B. The only thing that can theoretically happen is that the B protection in the cabinet can trip before the protection in the charger.
The built-in protection in the charger is electronic and turns off the power to the electric car if it measures a DC leakage current of 4-6mA and/or an AC leakage current of 20-30mA.
This should provide a certain selectivity in the system, so that any external A-protection will not normally be triggered by an earth fault (AC and/or DC). The electronic protection in the charger is easily reset by plugging the charging cable in and out of the electric car's charging socket.
Access control, accessibility and security
Can I lock my charging robot so that it is inaccessible to others?
Yes, by holding the touch button for 5 seconds you will access a local user interface. Either deactivate the charging point or activate RFID access control.
Can I permanently lock the Type 2 cable into my charging robot?
Yes, it is done via the local user interface or via the app
I can't get my charging cable out. What can I do?
Push/press the plug in, then try unplugging and replugging the charging cable from the electric car. Alternatively, you can close/open the lock via the user menu (hold the touch button for 5 seconds until you hear a confirmation tone to activate it).
Load balancing
Can the charging robot dynamically load balance with my house, so that I avoid my main fuse tripping?
Yes, but this requires external hardware that connects to your electricity meter. We will develop and finalize this product by Q2 2020.
