SPARK Red 16 charging cable is supplied with red CEE 16A/ 3-phase 400V 5-pole industrial plug (416-6) and type 2 plug for the car. This gives the possibility of charging with up to 11kW. The charging cable combines ease of use with top class security. It fits perfectly with access to a 16A red industrial contact and is 7,5 meters long in length.
Security
The charging cable has one of the market's smallest control boxes with 11kW output. It has a full DC- protection via a DC-filter of 6mA which means that it can be safely connected to all dedicated current courses. The control electronics (EVSE) performs a self-diagnosis when it is connected to the mains and will display an error code via a flashing LED light. The self-diagnosis includes:
- Continuous monitoring of the cables between the power grid and EVSE
- Continuous monitoring of the cables between EVSE and vehicle
- Continuous monitoring for earth faults and of the voltage
- In the event of an overvoltage or detection of an earth fault, the vehicle is disconnected within 40ms
- Earth fault circuit breaker type A m/ DC-filter 6mA
- Continuous monitoring of coupling elements
- Integrated protection against overheating
The charging cable is designed according to IEC 62196 and IEC 61851-1 and meets all safety requirements
Adjusting the Amperage
SPARK Red Mini can adjust the amperage between steps 6A/8A/10A/13A/16A. The adjusting is made easily via a button with an LED-diode that shows which step it is on. This is useful for cars that do not have this option via the car.
Versatile
SPARK Red Mini can be used on several types of industrial connectors by means of cable adapters/ transition. You can find these here. (her.) Matching red industrial socket on the wall can be purchased here. (her.)

Does the charging cable fit the 16A or 32A red industrial connector?
It only fits the 16A red industrial connector as 32A is too large.
Can the charging current be adjusted?
Yes, this is easily done via the one button found at the bottom of the control box.
